Celebrating 1 Year Home

One year ago today we finally were able to bring our beautiful daughter home from the NICU. It was a very long 17 day stay after birth including a major surgery. But on September 23rd, 2011 we got to bring all 4 lbs 12 ozs of baby goodness home to stay and we couldn't be happier.

After a long week of helping my parent move, we decided to celebrate today with a special family trip to Fall Creek Falls. We had a great time and Jada loved hiking and playing in the dirt. Here's some pictures from the trip:

Blueberry Oatmeal Dinner

Tonight I decided to let Jada play a little bit in her food. I'm trying to get her interested in putting food in her mouth herself but she does not want to do it. She wants to be spoon fed. But we are working on it. This was also her first time eating blueberries. It was just fresh blueberry juice I added to her oatmeal.

Not much has changed this week with Jada. She is still enjoying baby food and getting better with eating every day. She is sleeping fairly well. Some nights are better then others. We have been working on getting her to use her hands and hold toys. She is very resistant to this for some reason but we are working on it.
